Mgr. Lucie Vidovicová, Ph.D. is a sociologist and a Research Fellow at the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University and at the Research Institute for Labour and Social Affairs. She has long term research interest in the sociology of

ageing and issues such as age discrimination, attitudes of the population towards ageing, active ageing, and ageing in urban environment. More recently she was also involved in projects dealing with preretirement, financial literacy, or work – retirement decision making. Besides research for national funding bodies, she has been involved in several EU research projects. She also works as a consultant to different governmental bodies and cooperates with non-governmental
organizations in the field of senior advocacy and age mainstreaming. As a part of her new project “Ageing in the environment: regeneration, gentrification and social exclusion as new issues in environmental gerontology” she edits web site http://starnuti.fss.muni.cz .
