Welcome to the RC11 website!

I am pleased to welcome you to the new website of RC11 - the International Sociological Association (ISA) Research Committee on Sociology of Aging. This is a very vibrant community of international scholars representing about 120 sociologists of ageing from over 30 countries.

The main focus of RC11 activities revolve around the 4 yearly ISA World Congresses, and inter-congress meetings, such as the highly successful meeting in Barcelona, 5-8th September 2008.
